Welcome to the New Internet site of the High Energy Physics Laboratory of the University of Cyprus. These web-pages are launched in 2008, on the occasion of the completion of the construction phase of the CMS Experiment and the official start-up of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) physics program at the European Laboratory for Particle Physics, CERN. Our web-pages are free for navigation, both by the experienced academic and research personnel and students, directly involved with the scientific outcome of the particle physics experiments where our group participates, as well as by the potential user who wants to learn more on these spectacular experiments that provide a unique window in our understanding of the formation and evolution of the Universe.
These pages aim to describe the scientific activities and interests of the members of the group and to provide further links to the corresponding experiments and to relative theoretical, experimental and educational material. In addition, announcements are made on upcoming activities and events related to the corresponding experiments, such as Conferences, Seminars and Summer Schools, as well as other useful information. Comments for improvement are welcome, as well as contributions to the effort to promote further in Cyprus this fantastic field called High Energy Physics.
