Dear CMS Colleagues,  

On behalf of the Experimental High Energy Physics Group of the University of Cyprus, I would like to invite you all to participate to our next CMS Week, which will take place from the 23rd to the 27th of June 2008, in the picturesque town of Limassol, at the south region of the Republic of Cyprus.

After several years of hard work on behalf of the CMS Collaboration members - physicists, engineers and computer scientists - in constructing a solid and very accurate detector, we are now finally in a position to look back to what has been created, a splendid and gigantious detector, worthy representation of human ingenuity, spirit and endeavor, at the same time feeling keen to exploitate the physics potential of the LHC coming, high energy, high luminosity proton–proton collisions.

In order to have a successful and well organized CMS Week, I would like to urge every colleague who plans to be present in Cyprus, to take the effort and fill the Registration Form obtained at the bottom of this page at the hotel chosen, until the 15th of April 2008. This will help us to pass on the information to the 3 Atlantica Hotels where you select to stay, so that they can contact you (by fax,email or phone) to reserve the selected room under your name.

All the necessary information, concerning the site of the Atlantica Hotels, their facilities and options are to be found following the links of these pages. In addition, the CMS Colleagues can find useful information regarding the history of the island, its interesting archeological sites, traditions, local food and other material of interest to make your stay more pleasant.

Apart from the block period 22-28 of June, 2008, those colleagues who would like to stay a bit longer on the island, or have other special requests, are urged to contact the reception of the selected Hotel to accomodate their needs.

Once more, on behalf of the Organizers of the CMS Week in Cyprus (the High Energy Physics Group of the University of Cyprus and the administrative personnel from the newly founded Open University of Cyprus), I look forward to welcome you in the hospitable island of Cyprus.
